近年來，在沼氣提純技術(shù)和設(shè)備研發(fā)領(lǐng)域開展了一系列的研究工作，在化學(xué)吸收、變壓吸附等技術(shù)領(lǐng)域已開發(fā)有可商業(yè)化應(yīng)用的提純設(shè)備，變壓吸附法、水洗法和化學(xué)吸收法由于設(shè)備和技術(shù)工藝比較成熟，在沼氣提純領(lǐng)域的市場份額超過90%。國內(nèi)已建成多個沼氣提純生物天然氣示范項目，如煙臺雙塔4萬m3沼氣提純項目、龍口煙臺環(huán)能公司3萬m3沼氣提純車用燃氣示范項目、南陽天冠10萬m3沼氣提純項目等。

2015年，我國沼氣發(fā)展進入轉(zhuǎn)型升級期，國家支持建設(shè)規(guī)?；锾烊粴忭椖?，2015年全國建設(shè)25個，2016年全國建設(shè)22個，沼氣提純生物天然氣技術(shù)迎來新的發(fā)展契機，項目要求日產(chǎn)天然氣10000 m3以上，每小時處理沼氣量應(yīng)在700 m3以上，化學(xué)吸收和變壓吸附技術(shù)能滿足項目要求。四川某公司研發(fā)的沼氣提純專用吸附劑，解決了變壓吸附法甲烷損失大的缺點，進一步降低了運行成本，甲烷回收率超過99%，CH4含量97%～99%，能夠滿足沼氣提純的要求。該技術(shù)已在貴州省茅臺生態(tài)循環(huán)經(jīng)濟產(chǎn)業(yè)示范園生物天然氣及生物肥項目上應(yīng)用（2015年生物天然氣試點項目之一）。
